Silence.

I like the blank, pure, simple things in life.  When I look up at a star studded night sky my soul connects with the energy of the universe.  When I look into a clear brook or stream I am drawn inside myself.  I like to be in nature because it is so easy to connect within.  I love butterflies and find they come to me and sit on my hand or foot for a while.  There is no expectation, no motion, just a communication about the simplicity of being.
We are conditioned in life to want to fill our lives with events, relationships, conversations, opinions, judgments etc., on and on.  We loose touch with who we are when we are pulled outside ourselves constantly by our senses.  We learn to think of love as an escape into some other experience other than our own love that is resonating inside our own heart and soul 24/7.
We can connect through relationships and community if we choose and it's goo if that's what you want because you can share a part of your love from your own soul.  If you are looking at these interactions with others as an escape or the continuation of the same old, same old denial of the need for self introspection, you will not benefit from the experience.
Take time to be silent and appreciate your own inner being.  If there is pain or blocks you will have to go deep within and heal those places.  It is all possible.  You are one complete whole and vibrating with love.  Don't waste this life in looking for all the material goods or a special relationship.  The one relationship that will take you to God is within your own self.  Be kind, first to yourself through self thoughts, self talk, and your actions.  Be gentle, first with yourself then with others.  In this way spread kindness throughout the day, in the moment and as part of your life.

Being present always keeps your soul in tune as you hit the high notes.

Spiritual life means that you live life in the realm of your soul and lead your life with love from that space.  You are empowered through a higher source that is revitalizing and uplifting.  You can feel such bliss that become peak experiences at times.  I remember sitting on a tram in San Francisco and reeling with love for each person who sat on the bus with me.  This is bliss and it lasts for periods of time.
Enlightened Masters experience this heightened realm all the time.  That is why it is uplifting to be in the presence of a Saint as they radiate this love from their core being.  They are bliss and love and don't contain it for their own benefit.  Actually the whole purpose of their life is to set others hearts alight with the flame of light and love.  This is how the world gets changed one by one.
What is important in the process of personal transformation is a total surrender and commitment to the process of purification.  My first teacher used to use the analogy of gold being made pure by the fire.  In the same way our hearts and minds are made pure by our practice of Meditation and the Grace of the Master.  Our relationship to a living Master can be described as a two winged bird.  One wing being our self effort and the other being the Master's Grace.  Purification is liberating as it literally lightens our load.  Have you ever felt the heaviness of a burden that is sometimes described as a saying "Carrying the burden of the world on your shoulders?"  You may feel a sense of doom in the pit of your stomach.  A state of being that we become accustomed.  It is not the real you.  You have to peel back the layers and become truly who you are.  It may mean letting go of anger and hurt.  The process is always guided and supported through Grace.  There is an inner longing to shake off all the conditioning that we have learned to identify with but is not our true self.
William Butler Yeates, "Vacillation."
My fiftieth year had come and gone.
I sat, a solitary man,
In a crowded London shop,
An open book and empty cup
On the marble table top.

While on the shop and street I gazed
My body for a moment blazed,
And twenty minutes, more or less,
It seemed so great my happiness,
That I was blessed, and could bless.

Infuse love into my thoughts about finances.

Having not worked for two years and now getting back into the workforce with a long term plan to continue to deal with a legal issue that I will keep focused on until there is a satisfactory resolution.  What has helped is remembering the advice from a man in his nineties who had written a prayer that he shared with me.  It went something like this:
People like to do business with me and I attract new clients every day;
People who know me trust me and I return that trust by always going above and beyond what the expectations are in our business transaction;
I build prosperity through my love for my work and I draw money into my life abundantly to more than meet my needs.
You can write your own prayer out in the same manner.  First you connect with your heart and soul.  Breath in deep and close your eyes and feel the shift on the inside as your awareness shifts.  Experience the love inside and now think about money and surround images of money being infused with the power of your love.  Money is attracted to you because your love is like a beacon, drawing money like a month to a flame.  Know that all your efforts will be rewarded tenfold.  Expect money to manifest and continue to express gratitude.
Gratitude is a form of adoration in which you can tell God how great He is and how much you appreciate your blessings.  Money is a very welcomed part of your life and your love grows because of the support money gives to your life.
One project that is helpful is to put a collage together of different images that represent the areas of your life: wealth, health, relationships, knowledge.  Be creative and if there is one area that needs to be the focus of your attention more than the others (for me that is money,) make a separate collage dedicated to that aspect of your life.  Keep the collage in a place where you will view it frequently and meditate on the quality that you want to have more of in order to draw that gift.  Maybe it's being more romantic in order to have a more loving relationship.  Or for money it might take more time to spend developing your business.
As you focus on one area above the rest know that this is a normal aspect of life and that you will have to let other areas go unattended for a period of time.  If you want to focus on wealth, know that your relationships and health (exercise) will have to be put on hold for a while.
Be confident and trust that you will bring all those things you desire into your life.  Make your lists and collage as you prepare for the New Year and base your resolution on what you desire.  It is possible!  Don't let other peoples comments affect you.  Meditate daily and stayed focused on your goals.  Your dreams will come true.

My Episodes - BlogTalkRadio

My Episodes - BlogTalkRadio

Good thoughts come back to you through good happenings in your life.

When we see good in others we recognize in them that which is in ourselves.  When we see God in others following Mother Teresa's example we are in touch with our own Godliness in side our own being.  Spirituality used to seem very on the fringe but now is more main stream as people realize that when they clean their act up so to speak their lives actually turn out better and they experience more joy and loving relationships.  What holds us back is our conditioning and that can come from a broad social context or from our close family contacts.  We have to shed our false self or small ego that is tied to everything that we have identified to without the experience first being grounded in our love for God.  Once we have this experience of God's love that is ever live and present in our own heart and soul we can relate to others in a whole new way that brings harmony into our lives.  We don't have to feel isolated or that our life hasn't worked out as well as we had anticipated.  There are never any mistakes on our part only learning opportunities.
Once you let go of the negative ways of viewing life you will naturally replace it with positive thoughts.  Positive thoughts draw in positive people into our lives and positive things will begin to happen.  When we feel despair in our lives it is just that we haven't experienced God's love for us and that is always available.  What it takes is a step of faith and confidence will replace the feeling of void.  Confidence building after you cross over dark waters and get to the other side.  There is no magic cure for getting you out of a space of despair.  It is your trust in your own ability to muster up the strength to get to the next stage.  There is always a period of pressure, like being caught between a rock and a hard spot before the good times happen.  Just hang in there until you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
None of us are spared hard times in this life.  Certainly some people's lives seem smoother from our perspective.  It is through the struggles that our minds and hearts are made stronger and we grow in confidence and love as a result.  It's just that we don't these realities out into the open in our families.  Perhaps you have come from a family like my own where achievements went unrecognized.  I never felt the pride that my own mother felt when I completed graduate school.  In my earlier years this coldness and harshness caused me a lot of emotional pain.
Today if you are having a difficult time start by writing an intention that is clear.  For instance "I will go for a walk."  "I will look for the good in my boss/spouse/parent etc."  "I will sit for meditation."
The best tool for inner healing is meditation.  Meditation has been taught in the East for thousands of years and we have had great mystic teachers come to the US.  I met a lovely woman who has three generations now initiated and practicing Science of Spirituality www.sos.org

Jesse Ventura and the Great Water Conspiracy

Jesse Ventura and the Great Water Conspiracy

Sant Rajinder Singh ji maharaj

CANTO DE PAZ

Why meditation and vegetarianism is core to spiritual life.

As a Professional Life Coach, in the beginning of my work I am quite clear about the spiritual aspect of my work in self-development.  My Master of Science education gives me a broad understanding of our human makeup in terms of psychological as well as our physiological being.  The two are scientifically grounded and well researched.  Although educated in pharmacology I have not felt comfortable with it as the core treatment for people suffering from such conditions as depression.  I believe that our inner world is where we have to first connect and then we can connect to our outer being and personification.
My spiritual journey began in 1986 as I was initiated on a path that taught me to love my self through meditation and understand myself through self examination.  Through a long process of combined spiritual practices, spending time in spiritual retreat with my Master and meditation I was able to free myself of all the inner baggage which I call garbage that had caused me pain and burden me physically with a heaviness that blocked me from experiencing myself as light and joy.   For the past year and a half I have been on the path called Science of Spirituality http://www.sos.org under the guidance of HH Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Marahaj who is the current Master of the lineage.  This is the right path for me and I am grateful that I am now learning from my Master who uses scientific logic and practical teachings that connect us with the self through mysticism which is the inner experience of knowing God.  There is an outer knowing of God that we learn through religion that is cognitively understood.   This understanding alone is not enough to take us to enlightenment which is the goal for mankind and attainable through the Grace and guidance of an enlightened Master.
When I work with individuals I must take them on the journey to inner freedom through learning to meditate and following a daily practice that includes self introspection and using tools similar to those used in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to monitor thoughts, feelings and behaviors.  Vegetarianism is required because of the ethical choice that must be made not to harm any animals as well as the purification of our bodies through eating vegan diets.  Vegetarian foods are delicious and once you learn to cook them you won't want to go back to eating meat!  I recommend that you watch the video at http://www.FoodInc.com but make sure you don't eat first as it is disgusting to see how inhumanely animals are treated in the food industry particularly factory farming.
I look forward to taking you to the first step in creating a better life through connecting first with the inner self and then as taught in Kashmir Shavism your outer world will manifest according to your inner state of being.  We have an opportunity in this lifetime to know God and this is your chance not only to create a successful life but to become initiated by a Spiritual Master and transgress the wheel of karma which brings you back to this life repeatedly until lessons are learned and karmas ended.

"Relationship With Thought" Adyashanti

What you need to know is always in the present.

I read a quote by Pema Chodrone a very lovely Spiritual Master whose words are pragmatic for those of us today who have challenges to overcome at every turn it seems sometimes.  Pema says that what we need to learn is in the present moment and will be repeated in present moments until we get the lesson.  We cannot escape our karma and we have to be able to learn and transcend in order to become enlightened.
My lesson seems to be to find contentment in what I have for now in my life.  My personality is such that I have a compelling urge to reach out to others.  I have studied under two spiritual Masters since 1986.  I realized that a transition had taken place and I could describe what I wanted in a spiritual path and had always focused on the Master throughout my journey.  It really is a wonderful experience to see my wishes come true for me as I was initiated by Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Marahaj in April 2009.  I love His practical teachings that we apply to life.  We fill out a chart that helps us reflect upon and keep track of our thoughts and behaviors throughout the day.  I am not so good myself at doing that even thought I studied Beck's Cognitive Behavioral Theory in Graduate School and taught client's to use a chart that is similar to the one our Master has us use.  I have been able to monitor my inner state and immediately recognize the shift when negative thoughts arise.  That way it is possible to switch thoughts just like changing channels on the television.  You  can learn to use this technique to switch thoughts yourself.
I have always been highly motivated and productive in my life and finding time on my hands has turned into an endeavor of networking and outreach to others that I would not have done had I not had a set of circumstances to contend with.  That's life!  We have to learn to adapt to new situations and changes that are beyond our control and in that state of mind there is a quality of happiness and contentment.  Hence I feel content with my life and have goals for my future.  I use guided imagery to create a life that I want and since my last visit to Chicago I see myself living in a condo near a park and library where friends live in the same community.  I see a black Volvo sedan that I can park in a car port under the 1980's style building.  I know in my heart that this will materialize.
My value of serving my Master is core to my life style.  It's funny (not in a mocking way) but to see men send messages to say that they like me and I respect that and relate.  They see in me the love they have for themselves and I direct them to my Master for information about spirituality.  I have been celibate for many years because I am sensitive about my energy and keeping boundaries.  If my Master ever introduces me to someone to marry I will feel comfortable in that situation only.  My only daughter doesn't like my spiritual path.  I think less than my first Master who is a beautiful Indian lady.  I realize that for most there is a cultural shock to see my Master wearing a turban because of his own religion.  He is a Sheik.  One of the Masters on my first path said it didn't matter what color our skin was to him because he saw us all as BLUE!  I think that's a blast because our spiritual energy can be seen by enlightened Beings and we get so caught up in our differences.  The Genome Project at the National Institute of Health says that we have less than one percent difference between each race yet we have a great focus on differences.
My attitude was changed toward illegal immigrants as I have recently found myself in the best company ever with those whom I have believed shouldn't be here!  Now I wonder how to help illegal immigrants get amnesty.  One thought is that individual citizens and employers take responsibility for the problem by petitioning the government to allow us to sponsor illegal immigrants.  Let me know your thoughts if you read this please.
The present is really a gift so take it and be grateful because we still have a world where love prevails.  I believe that we have to confront and change the corruption and evil that exists in the world.  Our priorities have to be more geared to what is beneficial to people.  For instance today I saw a video of a Sudanese woman being whipped in public.  There was no compassion shown toward her from onlookers.  When I checked the United States web site their priorities were first and foremost global warming.  For those of you with blinkers on and plugs in your ears - THE WORLD IS NOT MELTING....I REPEAT... THE WORLD IS NOT MELTING....BUT WOMEN ARE BEING BEATEN AND TORTURED!  $$$$$$$$$$$$$ has to be taken out of global warming and put into helping women mostly in third world countries.
You see what I said earlier is true!  If I had been working at this point in time I would not been so involved in world affairs!  My present is having time to do outreach and draw attention to causes.
I am a Professional Life Coach and work with people who are committed to spiritual development.  I recommend that you go to www.sos.org to check out the official calender for programs and initiation.  I also require that you become vegetarian as I promote physical wellness and ethical treatment of animals.  Go to www.MyRain.me/rita for information about antioxidants.

Stay Centered.

There are so many issues that we have to deal with in our everyday lives and then we are faced with additional issues that affect our immediate environment and world.  Our sphere of influences has grown with the Internet making us in touch with our world and one another as we have never been before.  That is a good thing and I love the work that Yoko Ono is doing to bring the world together through smiles.  Join this group which I posted earlier and will add a link to the bottom of this page.  Perhaps the most central issue that I have identified to the current economic mess is the idea of the "straw man redemption."  It is new to me and I can only say empower yourself in this life and change is only made in a positive direction when knowledge isn't held by the oppressors only.
Through all our difficulties we can center in the space of love inside through the practice of meditation and then when problems arise and we feel an emotional reaction we can retreat into the space interact from that space of love.  All the great Saints have taught that love is the answer and until we connect with our own soul and merge with the soul of God we will be in pain no matter what.  For me the option of living a life  that was not centered on love and the teachings of my spiritual teachers was unbearable.  For that reason I am thankful for having a hard life because I have always sought God inside and was blessed to find my first Master in 1968.  It is okay to follow the religious and moral teachings of your religion but unless you connect inside they are just words.  Spiritual life is a robust and fresh energy that makes religion come alive and we can then cherish the teachings and apply them in our everyday lives and nurture our love for nature and animals.
Meditation is the key to knowing God because you are absorbed in the energy of God and the intention of becoming that same energy.  It happens without effort or any manipulation.  Like a flower growing in soil that is watered and soaked in the rays of the sun, similarly we grow with meditation.  Under the guidance of an enlightened Master our growth is tenderly guided.  Whatever we need to become the fullest and most beautiful flower will take place under the loving care of Master's guidance.  Spiritual initiation is something which has to take place in order to become awakened to our spiritual self.  Depending on our karma's from previous lives and what we have accumulated in this life we will be destined at some point to meet the Master.  I never would have predicted that I would have a different Master after having spent many years with my first.  I know that He is my true Master and that I had to go through some preparation with my first whom I will always be thankful.
Perhaps one of the testiest times of year is around the holidays when we feel hurt by those we love when expectations are not met or people we love are not with us through some tragedy or illness.  These burdens can only be healed through deep spiritual work and the energy of meditation is so gentle and cleansing that it is like magic fairy dust that clears away the debris.  We are freed from all attachments in this way.  Love lasts and in fact through my own experience actually grows after the loved one has passed on.  Love is eternal and love exists in our waking and sleeping states.
When you feel pushed to your limit take a deep breath and close your eyes.  Center your mind on the area of your heart and stay there.  Continue to breath in deep and breath out long.  Bathe yourself in the presence of your true self that is connected with God.  That is true empowerment.  You can center in the space of love and stillness whenever you feel threatened in any way.  One great Saint said "The heart is the hub of all sacred spaces, go there and roam!"
I am a Professional Life Coach and can be contacted at lawrencerita511@gmail.com  I require that you become initiated on the spiritual path by a spiritual Master.  You can check into the official schedule of my own Beloved Master Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Marahaj www.sos.org  A daily practice of meditation and vegetarianism is required for the spiritual journey to begin.

Inner Celebration

I remember a time when I felt like I was going to be skidding into base for the holiday!  That assigned day when all had to come together in person as well as pieces of the puzzle like food, decorations and presents.  With a family these times are particularly fraught with pressure because of the extended family and sensitivity toward criticizers of my role as wife and mother.   My own family would get together in England and I would spend part of my day with my husband's family who didn't really like me but wanted to include our daughter in the festivities.  My daughter recently shared that the long standing resentment toward me stems from the mistake I made as a young woman in her twenties who dated a married man and later married him.  Not a good thing and I believe through my own path with my teacher Sant Rajinder Singh Marahaj Ji that my sins have been made clean as snow.
The path of Science of Spirituality www.sos.org the Master takes on all the karmas from past lives (75%) and of this live (25%) up until the time we are initiated.  I have been present for one more initiation ceremony and soaked up the absolving quality of the Master's Grace.  This is the work of spiritual renewal and rebirth.  I would never repeat my self centered and insecure earlier behavior which like the whole family experience feels to me now like another life time away!  I am filled with light and love which I wish to expose everyone else to and uplift the lives of others in the same way that my own has been and that is why I write.  I have to look this quote up but found it in an article which you can read through the following link:  www.projectawareness.com/2010/09/american-psychosis-what-happens-to-a-society-that-cannot-distinguish-between-reality-and-illusion
My Master calls our souls lights whose presence are illuminating the world (of darkness.)  Quote from Rostand's Cyrano  "The ability to stand as an ironic point of light" that "flashes out wherever the just exchange their messages" is "the ability to sustain life of meaning."  One the spiritual path we look for answers from sources such as nature, the teachings of our own Master as well as our own experience.  It is an inward journey that links to the outward information that we learn about our religions and through the prism of light and love embrace all religious teaching as embodier's of God and His love for us.  During this holiday season I hope you will enjoy learning about the various religions and celebrating the joy with all friends from all walks of life and religions.  We are empowered with love to love one another and commanded by Jesus to love our enemies.  Peace begins with each one of us in our daily lives.  Check into your own heart and see how much peach exists inside.
Today I spoke with my dear brother and since our mother died he has become so much closer.  Always had been treated like an outsider like myself because my sister and mother considered that they were the worthy ones of being the center of attention in our family.  I hope to get a job as a psychiatric nurse soon in Chicago and move there to be near my Master when he is in the United States to hear his programs and have the privilege of having seva which is selfless service.  It is when we open our hearts and soul to the Master's work that His Grace flows through us in our own lives to help our spiritual growth.  I recommend anyone who wants to wake up and find God to seek an enlightened Master.  He is the one I am with after many years with my first Teacher.  I believe that He is the highest level of Master on this earth and that it is He who will take me to enlightenment.  That is why spirituality embraces life as a whole and not as separate compartments of family, work, relationships etc.  Spirituality infuses the power of our intention and love for God into all aspects of our daily living.  There is no reason to wait until Sunday to worship God!  Go inside your own heart and roam there with God and dance with joy and find love for all!
What have been given as commands by Jesus and my own Master Sant Rajinder are really expressions of the Self.  Our connection with our own soul that is made one with God.  Loving yourself comes first and that is why the Master's teach meditation as the vehicle for connecting with God's love for us.
I am a Professional Life Coach and can be reached at: lawrencerita511@gmail.com  Individuals will have to be vegetarian and meditate daily.  Because initiation by a Master is essential to spiritual liberation I will require you to find a Master or take initiation with my own Master Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Marahaj.  Spirituality is the inward connection with God and religion is the outward framework of a form that God represents to a particular culture.  You will be more committed to your religion and love your God with all your heart as one Saint says.
