Maybe you have other debts also that cannot be addressed during this time and you can seek direction from your local State Representative's Office.  I believe that it important to let our politicians know the impact of having a disruption to earning through a suspension.  It is important to hire a lawyer who specializes in license law who can competently address all agencies that may be involved as a nurse may be added to a list that results in restrictions such as working with Medicaid and Medicare patients which will hinder employment.
Recently I read a post by a nurse who felt that she was being targeted for reporting a physician to the Board of Nursing.  I became aware of this kind of situation earlier on when I received an email from a former nurse in New England who had since gone into a different field and had a PhD.  He told me that he had asked the Board for help with dealing with the administration where he worked because of the heavy patient assignments that he was given.  As it turned out it was he who got investigated!  Go figure!!

Try to have a positive attitude by meditating and having positive thoughts.  No matter what you have to overcome it can be done!  Reach out and tell your story to your politicians and try your best to survive financially.  There are credit counseling services which you can look up on line.  All the very best to you.
