Oprah has been an inspiration to many who have to find a way to break out of the box and do something creative and unique with their lives. She has put together some video interviews with different experts on the subject of finding your purpose in life and what holds us back and how then to break through those barriers. The key here is to learn to be an inner observer and note when your intuition is telling you to do one thing, but you stick to the course that hasn't served you well because it's here your comfort zone has held you down. The inner work is a must for everyone and finding teachers like these as well as a spiritual Master who can guide you is what will help liberate you from the old patterns that have shaped your life and once you shed the chains you can choose to take your life to higher levels and that is particularly important for you financially when you are unable to work under your license.
Perhaps it can be a wake-up call when you read about so many hospital closures coming up in the NHS to look at starting a small business and being proactive rather than waiting to see what happens to many nursing jobs. St. Hillier's Hospital is one example of a hospital that will move two departments and merge with others in the London area at some future date. If pregnant women are included in that population who are about to deliver as well as people who need to get to the emergency room for treatment I personally don't see how it is going to be possible by road. The roads are one lane and during peak travel times and rain they become congested making travel by ambulance to a clinical site further away longer. http://www.fiercehealthcare.com/story/hiring-and-firing-hospitals-face-economic-changes/2011-07-14 Economic challenges are facing hospitals in the US as well as UK and it's wise to start to build a business that you can rely on to earn money in the event that you are not able to work as a nurse at some future date.
http://margaretmlynch.com/docs/session1.pdf Try these exercises and write out clearly what it is that you have and what it is that you want and she will show you how to get there. Always there is a lot of effort and self-inquiry that goes along with this inner work and when you start to feel and experience the inner shift you will get to the crux of what is holding you back and open up to your true potential.
Margaret Lynch does some phenomenal work with manifesting wealth by clearing negative energy that has blocked your power to create the circumstances and life that you want for yourself and work hard to create. Margret show us how she approaches inner transformation and gives you some useful tips to follow such as to listen to your intuition when you are about to self-sabotage. It will signal you with one of these three things, fear, shame or battle.
Recently I found, as I have worked with a group at starting my business that I kept hearing 'no.' My spiritual self is quite different from where the group is and I have felt judged. I was told that I could not blog about my business even through I would have liked to tell you that it's a good company and I like using the products myself. I was also given printouts about using the Internet even though I had not asked for them leading me to believe that there was some aspect of what I do on line that didn't fit with their policies. I know now that I must be free and enjoy being with people who are like me and when others project their doubts fears and shame I feel that I have to do battle. It's really my choice and I choose to do my own thing and let them do theirs. In all situations the choice is always to find the one that serves you best. You don't have to give up who you are to please others or to placate their envy. I was told for instance that I might have an advantage that others don't through my on line work. It's so remote from how I feel about things because I believe that there is always abundance and plenty for everyone. Anytime you experience a feeling of constriction in a situation it's telling you that you need to let something go or not get involved. When it's the opposite, expansive and free that's when to pursue a line of thought or activity. Serve yourself and be who you are and never feel oppressed by others because they are likely to hold you back from your goals. I think because we are nurses we tend to think that we have to be patient with them and understanding, but that doesn't serve your first and you must recognize who you resonate with and who you do not. Oprah often says that you must know who is for you and who is against you. Those are simple truths.
There are a variety of great network marketing companies today that have simple models to follow and can fill orders quickly thus allowing you to use your money to buy good for your personal use so that you can then recommend them to others or build up demonstrations samples.
Looking through some cases on line where nurses have had their licenses suspended I found that most of them were reported by a co-worker or patient. As all nurses know patients who are dying go through stages of grief and one of them is anger. It isn't surprising that one nurse was reported by a patient who didn't like her offer to pray for her. Hospice patients sometimes do want their nurse to pray for them or have a member of the clergy or other religion visit. At the last state of life it's about transcendence and although those who are dying may not be able to actualize this stage they may wish to be comforted during a time when they are dealing with their death which would no doubt entertain a certain degree of reflection about their own life's journey. A nurse normally helps a patient to cope under such circumstances. I have come across one MD in the UK who had his license revoked partly because he wished people a 'Peaceful Christmas.' I think issues like these need to be taken up by the Church and other religious bodies because people need choice and freedom. Fortunately for this nurse, Paul Diamond, a leading religious rights barrister is going to represent her and Andrea Williams, founder and chair of The Christian Legal Center has said 'We're backing this case all the way.' Keep note of any organizations I mention and contact them if you have questions related to your own particular situation. They may at least be able to refer you to another organization if they can't answer your question themselves.
Another nurses was suspended for falling asleep between 3 and 5 am and would have to be awakened by tapping his knee. I wonder whether it's feasible to have someone be the only licensed person on the premises without a break and what the responsibilities of the employer are in so far as to ensuring that the employee can have some time to refresh?
Others were medication related and not being able to complete assessments and document in a timely manner. I recommend that you read the chapter in Stephen Covey's book 'The 7 habits of highly successful people' on how to organize your time and use the chart he has to assess where you are putting most of your time and energy now and change that.
A student nurse told me recently that a rather obese male nursing student had inadvertently pulled out some tubes from a baby causing physical damage. It seems to me that women have finer manual dexterity to work with babies and intuitively have the capacity to recognize how to move around them. I think that these types of situations should be assessed by the individual nurse and to request another assignment due to difficulty working in the environment. You would do well to consult with a lawyer before taking assignments in areas that may cause you to endanger another and hamper your ability to complete your degree etc.
Vaccines are controversial to some and one nurse is refusing to take the flu shot because she believes that good hygiene standards will help protect her as well as prevent the spread of infection. In NY nurses as well as other medical personnel are required to take the flu shot and many do not believe that it is beneficial to do so. Parents of a child taken to Palmetto Health found that they were target by a nurse who left a note in the treatment room which ended with 'looser's!' because he was running a fever and his parents had opted out of having their son take the standard course of immunizations. The fact that many have reservations about immunizations due to adverse reactions needs to be something every nurse should read about and respect the rights of patients or their parents/guardians to chose.

Remember the value and importance of positive affirmations. Write some down on a card and carry it with you today in your pocket and say them out loud. Use affirmations like: I love money and money loves me and is attracted to me like a magnet. Money fills my pockets from all four directions. This is a great one for those who are interested in the global business market place. Your potential to earn is tremendous because of the web and your inner power to tap into your higher consciousness.
Being aligned spiritually comes through your relationship with your Higher Power and then your soul's journey begins and you have a wealth of inner treasures to support you as you go about manifesting the wealth that you deserve in your life. Don't judge others because they have a different spiritual journey and you are aligned with a particular religion. I do not promote or support any particular religion or path because I believe in Oneness and that can be accessed through meditation and by initiation by a spiritual Adept. Being a vegetarian is something that will be healthy for you to do as well as being ethically right not to harm animals. My prayers and very best wishes are with you as you pursue your dreams and set your daily goals to work toward the life that you wish for yourself.
Warm Wishes, Rita.
