Finding direction with the difficult demands made on nurses.

When it comes to your health and those you love, stop and look at all the evidence that supports your thoughts.  As mothers we commonly have a protective instinct and when it comes to self preservation we tend to pay attention to what is going into our bodies.  Vaccines have been given to the military and they have no choice and those who have refused pay the penalty.  Now we are seeing the same behaviors toward individuals in the civilian population.  http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2000-04-19/news/0004190148_1_clifton-volpe-anthrax-shots-general-discharge  A quote from the article: Nearly 400 individuals have refused the inoculations.
Though Volpe and Bates submitted a long list of military personnel claiming to suffer serious ill effects from the vaccine, the Pentagon reasserted its belief in the safety of the program.
http://drrimatruthreports.com/5-big-lies-drugs-vaccine/  Dr. Rima has been on the forefront of the vaccine debate and has made video to support and encourage those who want to defend their bodies and choice about having vaccines.  I recommend that you look at as much information as you can and make your own decision.  http://biotech.about.com/b/2008/09/03/gardasil-safety-of-genetically-engineered-hpv-vaccine-still-in-question.htm  Once you start researching you will find many areas that you will need to explore in order to reach your own conclusions.
One on line group that circulates current information and debate on vaccines is no-forced-vaccination@yahoo.com which is quite informative.  I think because nurses are working in isolation when it comes to the issue to vaccination when they have a different view it is important to join groups that provide information.  If you are fired from your job for refusing to take a vaccination then by all means go to an Employment Lawyer and make sure that you get copies of your hospital's policy regarding health and safety.
Because we live in a democracy we need to engage with the practice of freedom through using our legal rights.  This is an important message for nurses and one which they need to exercise with regular monotony until we break loose from the abuse!  http://www.theguardian.com/business/2006/dec/03/theobserver.observerbusiness4  One idea that comes to mind is for nurses who are fired for refusing to take vaccines to connect with one another and while hiring your own Employment Lawyer look into forming a group class action.  Cohen Milstein Hausfeld and Toll is one such firm that has recently opened up offices in the UK from the US.  There has to be a market in order for them to make this move and they would be a good firm to contact once you have a group to approach them with your concerns and legal rights.
http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2011/jun/22/surgeon-pm-hospital-leave  I think it was good of the Prime Minister to visit a hospital and I wish that more politicians would follow his good example.  The NHS seems to have a standard means of dealing with doctors and nurses who don't follow the rules so it isn't surprising that the Consultant who hadn't been warned of the visit got a little rattled.  I worked at a hospital where there were problems that led to the administration hiring only Masters prepared nurses to manage each ward.  One day a politician who was African American arrived and we met in a hallway and I invited him to see the unit where I was working.  We were shadowed by someone from Administration who took in every word that was exchanged.  Once on the floor the doctor who worked there held court and told the politician about all his woes concerning lack of equitable pay as he went on to compare his hourly wage to that of the plumber he had recently hired at his home.  What the politician's visit told me was that he was listening to his constituents and didn't have to wait until reports were made in the press is things were coming to his attention to the extent that it motivated him to walk into the hospital and find out for himself.  Visits should be occurring with regular monotony and should be unannounced so that people can't prepare to present their best side for the anticipated occasion.
When it comes to MONEY- money is important.
http://www.wikihow.com/Start-a-Business-on-a-Shoestring  There are boundless opportunities for any nurse to transition into business.  Search on line for information and borrowing money.
Meditation is key to being grounded and discovering the right path to take in life or finding our life purpose.  Once we are grounded in meditation we connect with a deeper part of our inner being that is reached after the mind has been stilled.  Grounding brings about the stability in our life that helps us face and go through the challenges that we face.
Remember you are not alone and that there is a whole community of nurses on line who are connecting together through this blog.  My intention is to help you all to connect together in your smaller communities by contacting one another and being a support as you move in the right direction to create the life of your dreams.  All the relationships, resources and people who you need will be drawn to you as you do this inner work - please review any of the posts on the law of attraction.
My very best wishes are with you as you go through you day and do the inner work to connect in a real way with your Higher Power.

Warm Wishes, Rita.
