Politics and Soul

Somehow on the spiritual path there is an expectancy that expressing opinions about politics will distract from the main mission of enlightenment.  I agree that politics isn't for everyone in the sense that there are various levels for involvement or not.  Some prefer to vote or not, while others are motivated to speak out when their rights are being eroded by a government that shows a lack of respect for their Constitution.  It comes down to personality and I have always been a fighter so to speak.  I am glad that we have men who stepped up to the plate to fight for this country's liberation for Britain.  One such person who bravely stepped up to the plate was the Marquis de Lafayette who said "The welfare of America is closely bound up with the welfare of mankind."  That principle is as true today as it was when he sailed from Bordeaux, France to Georgetown, SC arriving on June 14 1777.  At nineteen years old he was aware that his destiny was calling him to establish a republic that would later become the United States of America.  He fought fearlessly for our country and when he died of old age in his native France he had American soil poured on top of his coffin.

Such men laid their lives on the line and many of them died in battle to secure our liberties and freedoms.  How much we cherish them will determine whether we will keep them alive.  Whatever comments I have expressed is not to hurt or offend, rather to wake up and motivate into action people who have taken their government for granted.  They have perhaps viewed government as an institution that has their highest good in mind when making decisions that affect health, wealth, knowledge and freedoms.  Watch carefully because now is the time to elect new officials who care deeply about our great country and get the incumbents who have put their own needs above the people they serve out of office.  People who want to serve and to uplift our lives through making opportunities abound through business incentives.  We are at a cross roads in our nations history and we can either take the road to socialism and more government control or to prosperity and freedom, principles on which our country was founded.

My soul comes into the area of politics because I think of the many blessings that America has given me.  I think of the opportunities that have enriched my life.  I have been able to achieve my childhood dreams of getting an education that has given me a deeper appreciation and understanding for the work I chose to do which is psychiatric nursing.  I have always been an independent thinker and have pursued a spiritual path that also has many followers in the west.  I have had insults thrown at me by faculty members at a college where I taught over my spiritual path.  When Jesus said on the cross "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do," it is evident that he would have us do the same thing in our lives when we are victims to others hatred.  I speak out about Islam because I view their religion as a political war horse.  How can we follow teachings of a prophet who was a pedophile and who hated non-Muslims?  It is not part of our core belief system in the west to admire let alone have as a role model someone who is a tyrant and whose followers express their desire to take our culture over.

My soul could be thought of as protective of people who would sit in some sort of lull thinking that these times will pass no matter what and that is our karma.  I believe that we can control our destiny through electing the right officials and certainly not exposing our culture to another that is expressly detrimental to ours.  Geert Wilders, Dutch Politician gate a speech in Berlin recently and quoted Abdul Ala Mauduchi, influential 20 Century Pakistani Islamic thinker: "Islam is not merely a religious creed [but] a revolutionary ideology and jihad refers to that revolutionary struggle to destroy all states and governments anywhere on the face of the earth, which they are opposed to the ideology and program of Islam."   Their methods can also be covert and it takes vigilance on the part of parents to make sure that children are not being exposed to misinformation via t.v., school books and even toys.  Recently I heard a mother show a doll on a video that repeated the phrase "Islam is the light," over and over.  How many more subliminal messages children are exposed to is a vexing question and I recommend that parents do a YouTube.com search to get a guesstimate.

My soul speaks out because I sense real danger ahead because there has been a deliberate attempt to wreck our economy.  If we all used our personal check books to write checks out in wild abandonment for all the things that our little hearts desired the jails and prisons would be overflowing.  The same way with the government that didn't take the time or bother to read the documents informing us why the money was needed.   It was turned into an emergency situation that had to be done at the eleventh hour no matter what anyone said to the contrary.  Joe Biden was tagged by the President as they guy in charge of keeping tabs on where the money went.  The only thing that we can be sure of is that we will all be responsible for picking up the tab because of their lack of responsibility and it will be passed on for generations to come.  Democrat's who have to face death taxes of 55% are not any happier than their Republican counterparts.  Most people work a life time to accumulate wealth that is now going to become part of the redistribution of wealth system of government.  Even staunch Democrats find that a hard leap of ideological faith to give up over half of what they wanted to leave to the next generation to secure their own family's future.  One option is to start a trust. 

We have certainly laid the groundwork to allow the illegal immigrants to enjoy the American dream.  I wonder how all of the other third world immigrants will feel when their turn to come to the United States is still according to Immigration and Naturalization quotas from various regions of the world that the President decides upon each year.  Sorry dears you will not be able to enjoy your rights to citizenship before the Mexican immigrant who broke our laws right off the bat by crossing the border illegally.  Now we have 11 South American countries filing their own two cents worth through our courts in opposition to Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona who has heralded a new era of accountability with the federal government.  Thanks to Eric Holder, Attorney General she also must face federal charges for upholding Arizona state laws.  Kansas is one state that will get it right this election by having Kris Kobach as Secretary of State.  He was a major contributor to the Arizona Immigration Law.  So on the bright side some of the states further inland may be made safer while the border states battle it out with drug cartels and kidnappings.

My soul finds peace in knowing that God does have his loving hand on this country and the majority of people know that they must speak now or forever hold their peace.  Rush Limbaugh had said that if anyone voted for Obama they deserved to be out of work.  I am out of work thanks to ongoing legal problems with the Kansas State Board of Nursing but never intended to be.  My Teacher used to say that the warning signs are always there at the beginning and asked why we chose to ignore them?  Rush Limbaugh and a host of conservative talk show hosts were sounding the alarm from the beginning about Obama's background and his socialist ideology.  Now it can't be missed because everything that is dangerous for this country has been put into action.  Make your mind up whether you want to make America strong once more or let our economy become stronger according to Nancy Peloski's theory of doling out more welfare.  Anyone with an ounce of common sense will realize that you have to make money to spend money.  That's not a complicated theory but just a plain fact.  O'Rielly said that Glen Beck thought the Presidential Seal fell off the podium during a recent presidential speech by divine intervention.  Our president has had some weird things happen like flies landing on his lips during an interview.  Metaphorically you can draw your own conclusions.
