Stay attuned to everything around you.

Keep in touch with your intuition and what is being said around you that can be actually helpful with deciding about what you are to do in certain situations to stay safe for instance.  There is a synchronicity and serendipity that brings to us in each moment things that have meaning and only that will be evident to us when we are fully conscious of our surrounding and feel connected with nature.  Nature can be a healer and guide.  One person's writing that I have referred to with regard to nature is Ted Andrews who wrote a book called "Animal Speak."  It's amazing that nature can bring you pieces of information that will connect with you in such a way that gets your attention and then through contemplation make a situation clearer.
I have been practicing meditation under the guidance of a spiritual Master for many years and it is through meditation that I have found that I can be free from all the fears and anxieties that used to distract me and bog me down.  I recommend meditation on a daily basis because it help to get rid of inner blocks and feelings that have felt actually painful.  Once there is a sense of free inner space you will be aware of when there is a shift or sense of something other than lightness inside. It takes time to develop this inner quality but I highly recommend it for people in the healing professions and particularly if you are facing issues with your nursing license.  You will feel a sense of calmness and certainty about what you are doing and a steadfastness in your approach.
There is not a day that goes past when I don't think of those who are in a position where they are defending a license and wondering what the future will be for them.  It's almost like finishing a nursing program and knowing that until the results of your board exams are back it's not over.  Until you get through the process with the boards you will be uncertain about the outcome.  Many people are going through this stress and many are learning to stand up for themselves.  The important thing to remember is that you will need a lawyer who specializes in license law.  Search the web and find a lawyer that looks good to you and can describe the process of going through an investigation to prepare yourself for the first meeting and write down as many questions as you can so that you can get documentation and witness statements together for instance.
Many times people who used to be your friends are going to let you down because there is a stigma attached to being investigated by the State Board of Nursing and people may believe that you are guilty even though they know your character and that you have maintained high standards both at work and in your private life.  Also people are scared.  They may think that they will come under the radar so to speak if they write letters to the Board on your behalf and they don't want an investigation launched against them at some future date.  Employers are complicit with requests to give negative reports because they are licensed by the state that can also mean that some further scrutiny may develop should they refuse to provide negative documentation.
Contact Richard Wilmer at The Center for Peer Review Justice www.PeerReview.org and he can work to clear up the paper trail for you that can involve employers, individual's and the state and federal government.
I can help you with the practical advice once the State Board contacts you and would like to reach out to more nurses before it gets to that stage to help develop a positive mentality geared toward tackling the situation strategically through having prepaid legal insurance that saves coming up with a lump some retainer fee; a short term insurance plan that will tide you over financially until there is a positive resolution of the issue with the Board of Nursing or you can find an alternative income; developing the entrepreneurial mindset and starting your own business before you need it as a second income.  There are many network marketing companies that cost a minimum start up fee and provide all the sales and marketing strategies that will help support your business growth; join other groups that have similar missions to support doctor's and nurses such as Patients First in the UK.  You are not alone and more and more people are becoming aware of the culture of medicine and how an individual can be targeted and their license put in jeopardy.  Every day that I am out I run into individual's who work in area hospitals and they tell me how hard it is for nurses because there isn't enough staff and when things go wrong it's the nurses license that comes under scrutiny and the hospital just hires a replacement nurse.
I am getting ready to make a short video so that you can get to know me better and then a blog talk radio show and in future some seminars in the UK for now and the US in the next year or two.  Lot's to do and as more nurses come together to share their experience and reinforce one another during this difficult time it will be supportive and the message of solidarity will spread.  Remember to contact your State Representative and ask him/her to connect with Rep. Tony Shipley (R-TN) who wrote two laws to oversee the State Board of Nursing a) that a committee must be notified within 74 hours of any suspension or revocation and b) for any fines over $1,000.00.  There is a video on YouTube.com of Representative Shipley addressing the House Assembly that is informative about the circumstances of how and why the State Board of Nursing caught his attention and how they responded.
Have a wonderful weekend.  Meditate and pray.  Claim a scripture that has a feeling of power for you.  Mine was Isiah 54:17 "No weapon formed against me shall prosper and any tongue that rises against me you shall condemn..."  Keep it in your heart and know you have the protection of the universe.
Grow and prosper and let go of fear, negativity and find an inner strength and resilience that will help you stand tall and shine the light wherever you go.
Rita
