Healing ourselves, healing communities, healing the world.

The New Year is always a new beginning for us to make the resolves we feel will improve our own lives and the lives of our loved ones.  It takes contemplation to connect with the values and beliefs that keep us either in a place of being stuck or being engaged with those activities in our life that create or manifest our desires.  I always mention the area of money, because it has a high priority to our existence and survival.  Most of us value stability, having enough food on the table for ourselves and our families.  We start to worry when adversity hits out of the blue because we feel that our whole existence resolves around and out of financial stability.  Our ability to earn money and get through tough times depends on our inner and outer resources.  Our ability to replenish what is being used from the reserve becomes even more taxing when we are using our inner emotional reserve worrying.
One Saint's message was 'Don't worry, be happy' and these words have been set to lyrics with a Caribbean music tempo.  We do have a choice to remain in our own place of stability when we realise that we can tap into an inner reserve, a personal power that has a never ending source of supply.  Spirituality allows us to examine our beliefs and decide not so much intellectually, but how the choices we are making make us feel.  If we are choosing to draw in more negativity through worry and thoughts of scarcity that will become our outward reality.  To live ethically when there is a lack of income if you are unable to work using

your license is important.  You have to consider where to budget and do all of the practical things necessary to stretch income.  when we have a pattern of negative thinking our emotions become disturbed and we feel a disharmony with all areas of our lives.   One area to be especially aware of is our health, making sure that you get enough rest and eat
the right foods.
Meditation and contemplation are spiritual means of accessing our subconscious motivations.  I mention several teachers and their work so that you can find the tools that work best for you.  I have no relationship with these people other than reading about their work.  I share from my own experience because I have found that it is through spiritual living that is grounded in living ethically that has helped me to continue to grow and become freer inside my own being.  When we have distorted beliefs about ourselves that we are perhaps not smart because a school system labeled us as dumb or that we are not as pretty as our sister etc. we find that when we are in a position of having to learn new skills to start a business for instance that we will automatically picture or predict our failure because dumb people are not supposed to be successful.  When presenting ourselves to the world and engaging with potential customers we might think that we don't look attractive enough or that we don't have the right clothes or hair style etc.  We believe this stuff and tell ourselves the same messages from our childhood and it becomes our truth when none of it is real.  Margaret Lynch teaches that you draw money to you when you clear this lower self stuff and let your shine come through.  That is basically why I called this blog Stand Tall and Let Your Light Shine.
It is in times of the most stress that we need to stand in our own power and stay grounded in our own inner stability and strength, but instead we get drawn out of our own power by the outer distractions and self sabotage with all of our false self talk and beliefs.  In the east they talk about a vile of illusion and we have to lift that vile and experience our perfectness that is already who you are.
I notice that Margaret Lynch always starts with statements that identify what isn't okay with life and the inner wrong self identification, the she immediately accepts, honours and respect who she is anyway.  She's essentially saying that she realises that she has been carrying a heavy rucksack on her back and she's ready to dump the contents from the bottom of the bag through a hole that releases all of the things that have made her stuck.  Remember your Higher Power whatever or whomever that may be for you and draw closer and become more receptive.
Be ready to receive and be alert to all the messages that come to you to guide you along the way.  There is a greater consciousness and it is always as work bringing the situations that allow you to learn a particular lesson, to find a situation that will keep you safe while you regroup and move forward with your life.  Mother Teresa used the analogy of having two arms.  One arm can always be free to be extended out to others to help them.  Remember with the law of attraction there is always enough, always an abundance and when we become a clear channel more comes to us.
I personally believe that we should always be welcoming and at it is a high spiritual practice to do so with Love.  I hope that as a group we can at some point begin with one house where nurses can meet and have the resources and support that they need to defend their license and to keep a roof over their heads if needed.  In the same way with what you have now expand your generosity to reach out to other nurses who's license does not allow them to earn money.  You will all be at different stages and some can help others through mentoring.  Encouragement when all seems bleak and you are at your most vulnerable.  We heal in community and Love is infectious do let's spread it between our hearts and out into the community.  When the first house is chosen it will be in the poor side of town where minorities have been left because there was a belief that they were second class.
