Background Date: Sunday November 3rd 2013
This festival is celebrated by lighting candles and saying prayers for prosperity. It marks the beginning of the business year. It will be awesome for everyone to say a prayer for prosperity to reach each one of the nurses who are transitioning into business. Powerful!
Google has invented a system called uProxy to guard people in countries that will punish them for communicating with the outside world online. Google operates under the informal motto 'Don't be evil.' That is really what is needed in the world today. People are thrown under the bus it seems to me in so many places and people don't seem to notice or perhaps care what's going on in front of them. The Times today goes on to say 'Google remains keen to offer help to vulnerable groups - such as human rights advocates, and election monitors - in ways that might anger authoritarian regimes. Its new tools include Project Shield, a system designed to protect websites from denial-of-service attacks, which typically try to render a site unusable by crashing it or by bombarding it with requests.' Making positive changes in the world. I like that very much.
When you are running a small business it is important to be accessible on line and keep your information current for your clients. If you are able to afford a smart phone I recommend that you use this and find as much information about apps as you can. The Chelsea Apps Factory besides offering an array of apps that will help you to run your new business start-up it also gives an example of someone who saw a gap in the market place and has made fifty million plus! I will do some research on some other apps and share it with you though this is not my strong point I hope it will add to your repertoire of business skills. I'm thinking that there are many of you who are half my age and twice as smart and if you can develop apps that can be used by businesses and the medical field you can make a fortune too and that's what I wish for each and every one of you.
Who ever has gone before you can teach you how. Dame Marjorie Scardino was listed 17th on the Forbes list of the 100 Most Powerful Women in the world says 'take risks and not to fear failure.' She shares her five golden rules to abide by: keep it simple, be yourself, don't take yourself too seriously, be generous, and thing big.' Gratitude and generosity go hand in hand. Jesus said 'It is better to give than receive' because that is one of the main principles of the law of attraction.
Let there be light! Lighting candles is part of celebrating Diwali which means 'Festival of Lights.' It is traditional to clean your home before the celebration begins to welcome abundance into your life. Perhaps you can Google and see what more you can learn about this special festival and increase your prosperity consciousness.
I will be at the Amway Center in London on Monday 28th October and each Monday evening following between 7pm and 9pm. Bring your business cards and you are warmly invited to attend a presentation about the Amway business model and products. I recently had to go into a well known chemist to buy make up for a photo shoot and was tailed by a security guard like a 'duck on a June bug!' I said something to an employee there and she responded that the security guard had been told to watch people like me - I happen to be older and have grey hair and use a shopping basket on wheels to carry my laptop etc. They gave me a good selling point for buying products on line! Amway, London The reason I like Amway so much is because it is still a family owned business and the ingredients for all of their products come from their own organic farms. THEY DO NOT TEST PRODUCTS ON ANIMALS. This is very important to incorporate into your life. Being mindful about the lives of animals. St. Francis of Assisi loved all of God's creation. It all ties into the law of attraction for what you sew comes back to you. Please be kind and gentle to all creatures.
I will be in High Wycombe this weekend 26th and 27th October and we can network between 2 pm and 4pm at The Bell to network. Bring your business cards. This link will show you directions.
As always you are in my thoughts and prayers as you contemplate about a career in business and get ready with your lap tops, smart phones and build up your customer base. You can do it!
Warm Wishes, Rita
